Workshop Details
This course runs from 10.30am to 4.30pm for two days - Saturday the 24th and Sunday the 25th of April 2021 . Over the two-day workshop sessions we will explore the basic principles that inform playwriting - Jo Egan will take you through the basic rules of playwriting - and then teach you how to break them! We'll also examine the use of time, action, ritual and memory. Workshops will consist of short written experiments that offer insight and can be used beyond the life of the workshops. Participants are asked to bring an idea, concept or theme they have been considering. Please do not confuse these workshops with a dramaturgy session offering feedback on completed scripts as there will not be time to read them before, during or following the workshops.
